Dental Benefits

Dr. Paul Nagode Family Dentistry Serving Atlanta, Cobb County, Buckhead, and the surrounding Sandy Springs areas.

Receiving the dental care you need is easier when you have dental insurance or a dental benefit plan.  However, most dental benefit plans may not cover all the dental procedures you need to achieve your desired smile.  What you need or what your dentist recommends is not based on your dental coverage.   Your dental coverage is based on how much your employer pays or if self-employed, how much you contribute to your plan.  When you decide on your dental treatment, your dental benefits should not be the only thing you consider.  You and your dentist should determine your treatment.

How Dental Plans Work

Practically all dental plans are a contract between your company and an insurance company.  Your company and the insurer agree on the amount your dental plan pays, and the covered procedures.  You may have dental care needs not covered through your dental plan.  Employers generally chose to cover some, but not all, of the dental costs of their employees.
